Cotton Candy Gradient Nails

Happy Weekend!

This weekend or basically this month and September is going to be busiest for my boy friend and I. We're planning on moving out of the city. After 8 years, finally getting a place of our own. I know what your thinking, 'what took you guys so long?' lol Three of the reasons being money, waiting for the right time and looking for a good place. Living in the city is getting to be too expensive. So praying that living upstate will go well for us! While taking a break on packing I squeezed in some time to make a NOTD!

Here's my second attempt at achieving gradient nails. I must say, I think I did better this second round! I'm getting the hang of it. It was very easy to follow Nailasaurus: Gradient Nails Picture Tutorial. These are two of my favorite color combinations. Together they both remind me of cotton candy. As a kid I used to love the cotton candies at the carnivals. It kinda makes me miss going to carnivals...

The colors I used are both from Color Club Nail Lacquer. He Loves Me (pink) & Blue-Ming (green-turquoise). I used a light nude color as the base. Finished it off with a mattifying top coat (NYC Matte Me Crazy). Which I love! I just realize I didn't to do 'He Loves Me' NOTD...Oops!

Let me know what colors would be awesome for a Gradient Nail Effect?

Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick ~ Cherry Picking

I've been wanting to pick this lipstick up when I saw a lip swatch of this color on Citrine's blog. I thought it looked great and I wanted to give it a try. I have four other Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks in Just Peachy (903C), Bare It All (902C), Mauve Outta Here (907C), and Red Velvet (910D). My favorites out of all four are Mauve Outta Here and Red Velvet.

The color that I picked up is Cherry Picking (965). Cherry Picking is a deep berry-red color. It's very pigmented. The formula goes on smooth and settles to a matte finish. Can be a bit drying on the lips. This has lasting power but while eating and drinking the color starts to fade and stains the lips. I find that I didn't need to reapply this color since it last me for hours. What I don't like very much with these Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick's is they tend to bleed around the lips. I would use some concealer around the lips to stop the color from bleeding. I love how deeper, darker lip colors make my lips look more fuller. Also how red's make my teeth look whiter! lol

I say these are a great buy for $1.99 each. They have really great pigmentation. Last pretty long without fading. Since these go on to a semi-matte finish I would recommend to exfoliate and moisturize your lips. If it's too drying for your taste then apply a balm or lip gloss on top.

Let me know below what you think and if you have any of these Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks?

Inferno Gradient Maze

Hey Guys! How was your weekend so far? I got to visit my family and bring them some yummy cookies, that I made on Friday. It was by far the "Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe EVER!" Oh and that's the name of the recipe too. I will leave a link right {here}, if you wanna check out that recipe. Planing on making them again, that's how good they are!

Okay so now on to my NOTD. I got my idea for this Inferno Gradient Maze nail art from a blog called Chalkboard Nails. I must say her version was way better than mines! I love her blog, she does such great designs on her nails.

This was my first time attempting this nail art. I think I need more practice. I also need a better nail brush to achieve finer lines. But for my first time it came out nice. The nail polishes I used were both Wet n Wild colors. One a fastdry and the other a Wild Shine. {Orange & Jezebel} I cut a piece of sponge as the shape of my nails to attain the gradient effect.

If you wanna try out Gradient Nails but not so sure on how to accomplish them, well then visit this blog, The Nailasaurus. Her Gradient Nails Picture Tutorial helped me a long the way!

Look out for more Gradient Nails!

Birchbox: August

My Birchbox has finally came in today, yay! Very happy about the contents in this month's box. Since September is coming around the corner, which means school is almost in session. The essentials in this box are great for those of yous who are attending High School or College. Or like me, I don't attend school. This box is great for just about anyone!

Amongst the beauty products you also get a Beauty School Booklet with great tips and tricks of the beauty trade. Which I think is pretty neat!

DDF | Brightening Cleanser
A foaming gel that has six natural skin brighteners to help minimize uneven skin tone and target age spots. Good for the face and body. Also effective in helping to minimize blemish discoloration.
Has a nice refreshing scent. Can't wait to give this a shot!

Juicy Couture | Viva la Juicy La Fleur

This Eau de Toilette Spray was inspired by the blushing aura of being in love. Notes of mandarin, wild berries, dewy honeysuckle and soft jasmine. Also a whisper of creamy gourmand. I love this scent! It's not so over powering, just enough notes for me to tolerate. Even my boy friend asked 'what was I wearing?'

Miss Jessie's Original | Pillow Soft

I'm excited to try out this sample of styling lotion. It's a quick styling lotion that's prefect for achieving bit soft curls. So basically this product is going to make my hair feel soft as fabric softener. Hoping this will help my over process, frizzy, and unruly hair!

whish | Three Wishes Body Butter

This body butter in pomegranate has a unique tripe antioxidant based formula. This lotion both softens and soothes the skin while helping to replenish and firm. Three Wishes products contain Organic Aloe, Organic Raspberry Butter and Organic Shea Butter. This lotion is very rejuvenating and smell divine! Also leaves my skin very soft to the touch.

Schick | Hydro Silk Razor

This water-activated serum claims to moisturize skin while you shave. I'm a bit worry to try this out since it has 5 curve sensing blades. The last time I tried out 5 blades was from Schick, and hoping this one turns out great and doesn't make me bleed and give me razor burns. I also soften my skin before I shave and use a conditioning, moisturizing shaving cream.

Can't wait to try out the DDF Brightening Cleanser and Miss Jessie's Original Pillow Soft hair lotion. If all is well than maybe I'll order me a full size product.

Okay that's all for now, but I was hoping for some makeup or nail polish this month. It's okay here's hoping till next month! ^_~

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling

Yay! It's Friday! Never been so happy for the weekend to arrive. I'm not sure what I'm planning for this weekend but they'll be plenty of relaxing and some baking. Probably just gonna hang out with the bf. Watch some movies, munch on some funfetti cupcakes. By the way, which will be up on my food blog soon! {link here!} Any who on to this review...

So I picked up one of the many Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Darling. I've seen these Balm Stains all over the blog community. Lots of rave reviews on these so I had to get my hands on one. Oh boy, was I wrong for buying just one. My butt is going back to Rite Aid and picking up some more. But knowing me, I would most likely wait on some sales. So I can get my hands on more than just one.

I picked up the color Darling because I love purple tone colors and it seem wearable. Plus I don't have many colors quite like this one. I always love trying new and daring colors.

I love how this Revlon Balm Stain is in a stick form, makes it easier to just twist the product out. No need to sharpen it, cause it's not in a pencil form stick.

Darling is a very pale pink with purple undertones. For me this is a very natural lip color, a bit sheer but quite build-able. I must say I really love this shade!

The color actually stains my lips a darker color. I kinda like the stain. But the product it self doesn't seems to last long for me. It could be, because of eating or drinking. Plus it's summer and my makeup doesn't survive long in this heat. This balm stain makes my lips feel very moisturize and kissable soft. I love how I don't need to add some gloss to my lips, since these aren't drying lip stains but balms.

The only down side to these balm stains are the price. Hence, why I'm waiting on some sales!

If you have any of these Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, let me know which ones should I pick up next?

Have a kissable weekend! ^_~

Wet n Wild fastdry Nail Polish, French Tip Style

I don't know if you noticed but I changed the name of my blog?! I changed it from MakeupFanatic27 to Liz Hearts Beauty. For a while I wanted to do this but I was putting it off. I was unsure I wanted to change it to a different name. The reason why it was called MakeupFanatic27 is because that's my YouTube user name. So I thought at the time it would be cool to have a blog with the same name. But things change and I'm happy with the choice I've made! Now I just have to remember to water mark under this new name...lol I love how this new name is more suited for this blog.

So on to my NOTD!

Wet n Wild fastdry Nail Color in Teal of Fortune is a gorgeous teal-blue color with tiny flecks of shimmer. This color is also pretty when applied through out the whole nails. Very cheap too! The brush is okay. I've been loving the curvier nail brushes lately because they makes for an easier application. (The brush for this nail polish is flat.)

I love using bright/shimmer or glittery colors like this one for french tips! I have a pretty steady hand so it was easy for me to apply a thin strap of color on each nail tip. If you don't have a steady hand you can using tape to create a more finer tip. I applied two coats of this color to each nail tip.

Have a great weekend!

July's Favorites

I think I missed posting a June's Favorites. Hmm...that can't be right! So let me share with you my favorite's for the month of July's!

There's two items on here that were my faves from the month of May. Garnier B.B. Cream and NYC Matte About Me nail polish. Still loving these two, and they'll probably be my faves for next month also!

Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream
Still loving this B.B Cream! Love how it covers up my imperfections, and gives me a dewy finish. Kinda like I hit the sun. God knows I need too...lol I apply this with clean fingers. It's easy and fast! It tends to get a bit oily on me because of my oily skin and the summer heat. I do blot with powder cover-up. Full review here

Bio-Oil
I've been using this on my stretch marks, dry spots and redness around my body and face. Bio-Oil helps improves the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging skin and dehydrated skin. It works great, especially around the redness of my face. The ingredients in Bio Oil are Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Calendula Oil, Rosemary, Camomille oil, Lavender oil. Also contains a breakthrough ingredient called PurCellin Oil.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze
Been using this all month long and love it! This cream shadow is a gorgeous color for summer, heck all year round! It's lasting power is pretty good too, especially with this summer heat. Doesn't melt off, so it's a great base color or a color on it's own. Full review here.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling
Very pretty purple lip color with pink hues. It's a wearable lip stain, so don't be fearful of this color. Smells like mint and glides on smoothly. I will be doing a review of this baby soon.

NYC Matte About Me
Used this on my latest NOTD post {here}. Been using this a lot and loving it! Mattifying top coat is a great change from the usual glossy top coat. Review here.

St. Ives Green Tea Scrub
This has been one of my favorite face scrubs from St. Ives. Been using this scrub since It came out and love it! It helps with some of the dry patches around my cheeks and nose. This is a great exfoliator that's packed with tiny micro beads. Definitely helps clears breakouts and reduces redness.

Knotieties
I won these cute hair ties a while back and love them! I have very curly hair so every tie I had before would break or pull at my hair. So these are comfortable on my hair. Knotieties are great and come in lots of styles and colors. Check them out! {Knotieties}

Looking forward to hearing what your favorites are? Until next month!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Coral Reef

Good Morning Guys! I'm up early so I thought I share with you my NOTD! It's been raining here in New York City. I think today it's going to be sunny, haven't gone out yet. If it's not sunny out my nails are bright enough to light my way!

Today I'm wearing Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Coral Reef which is a very bright coral color, which tends to lean more towards pink. This is a very bright color so it stands out. It looks more orange because I used a matte top coat. (NYC Matte About Me)

The formula is a bit thick, so it's a little hard to work with. I used 3 coats to achieve this color. This polish cost me about $3.00 at Rite Aid.

Still on the hunt for a top coat. Seems like every drug store I go to doesn't have any! Looks like I'm not the only shopping for a top coat. lol I'm just thinking of purchasing Seche Vite again, but it tends to chip on me.

Have a great day!
